Terms & Conditions
Sofatime Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all orders made online via our website, www.sofatime.co.uk.
Introduction
Sofatime is a trading name of Hometime Group Limited (which we will refer to throughout as "Sofatime, we, our, us") under company number NI619108 and we have our registered office at 6-16 Duncrue Crescent, Belfast, Antrim, BT3 9BW.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to change these Terms from time to time. In light of this, it is important that you check these Terms every time you wish to place an order through the Website to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.
Acceptance of Terms
By using and placing orders through the Website, you confirm that you accept these Terms and that you agree to comply with them. These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Our Contract with You
To place an order on sofatime.co.uk you must be:
- Over the age of 18.
- Complete with an appropriate payment method.
- Your billing and delivery addresses must be the same.
- Provide all information requested.
Cooling Off Period
If you have ordered via our website or over the phone with our customer care team and have not seen the goods or visited a Sofatime store before purchasing, you have the right to cancel your order.
Prior to Delivery
You have the right to cancel your order prior to delivery and receive a full refund, including delivery charges.
Cancelling or returning on the day of delivery or after deliver
You have the right to cancel and return your order within 14 days of the delivery day. You will be required to return the goods in original condition, packaged suitably to transport and without any signs of use. This also applies if you cancel on the day of delivery of reject for goods on delivery if they do not fit into the property or room of choice. It is your responsibility to make sure you have checked goods with fit prior to ordering.
Whilst the goods are in your procession, you are required to take reasonable care and limit handling of the goods. Refunds will not be given if goods are returned with signs of use or damaged in transit. Signs of usage exclude testing. For example, sitting on it as you would in store. We reserve the right to reduce the amount of refund given if the goods are deemed as used beyond their natural characteristics and functions, the item has been fully or partially built or had excessive handling resulting in a loss of value. When returning goods, you must arrange for these to be transported to our central delivery centre. These cannot be returned to store. If you are unable to arrange transport to return goods to us, we can arrange collection during normal business hours (Mon-Fri). We will charge a fee of €200 for this and this fee covers repackaging, collection, restocking and admin costs.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of the goods being received back in our delivery centre. If you have ordered using a financing option, we will still process your refund with 14 days but cannot guarantee this will be received within this timescale due to third party processing. Yours rights to cancel during the cooling off period exclude:
- Any made to measure, or bespoke product made to your specification.
- Items that required self-assembly and have been fully assembled.
- Purchases made in store or where you have inspected the products in store prior to ordering online.
How to Cancel
To cancel your order before delivery if after, please contact us in writing within the stated timeframes as soon as possible. We will also accept requests over the phone, but we may still ask you to put this in writing.
Guarantees
All new products are guaranteed against faulty materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of delivery or collection. In the unlikely event of goods being found defective, we are unable to accept the return of goods that have been misused or are in an unsanitary condition.
Payment
Any outstanding balance needs to be paid in full before delivery using cash or card (this excludes finance agreements). If you completed a finance agreement at the time purchase to clear your balance, the first payment will be taken after delivery. All goods remain the property of ‘Sofatime’ until full payment has been received.
Data Privacy
We will need to collect a certain amount of information from you to service your requirements and process your order effectively. Any information that you provide to us will remain confidential and will only be used in accordance with Data Protection legislation.
